| Mainly because the logic behind it only works if the person meets very specific criteria or rather, has very specific needs out of the setup. with tuning you will have more power than the same setup with the sport530bb This is very possible but aside from the brief peak power gains, doesn't a 530BB car still make more power throughout most of the powerband, come in sooner and offer more lower end torque? At least, I've seen dynos where that is true but perhaps that's a case of there not being ENOUGH dynos out there. I wish we had more 600 cars that had made runs so I could be sure. What the 600s offer is nice, but the benefit seems to be more at the top end where people are on the gas perhaps 5% of the time. Some people would rather have this and if this guy is one of those people, these may be the right turbos for him. and less lag than the sport 700bb setup Agreed, IF the 700BBs had stock manifolds and the 600s had inconels. Here's the catch though...you don't get Sport 700BBs without SOME kind of manifold upgrade. It is silly to go half-assed when you're going "all-out" in other areas. At least in my opinion. And for right now, it seems the point is moot since so far they have been less laggy than any Sport 600 car Greg has seen. I can't speak for him, but I'm almost positive of this based on talks we've had over the last few months. Of course it'll be more money but you can't expect to get more performance for less money all the time. and the lag you will have with this setup will be close to stock and unnoticeable because of the increase in low end torque The lag will be unnoticeable? Even close to unnoticeable is a stretch. Explain how the you get an increase in low-end torque that overcomes the lag whereas other turbos don't offer this but the 600s do. Forgive me...I'm not trying to tear down your world here or anything. I just don't understand how this is possible since we've seen and driven cars equal to yours out here. :speaking from experience... you can get almost 600rwhp with this setup without h20 injection ... this power cannot be reached on sport530 bb This much is true but I'm pretty certain that a Sport 530BB car with equal mods can get to 120mph just as quick if not quicker than a Sport 600 car. This is for the very same reason that Sport 500 cars beat up on TD05 cars on the low end out here. The Sport 500 cars are gone and have such a lead at the beginning that the TD05s have to catch up. With enough land they easily do so, but not before 100mph+. Again, I don't mean this to say that your car is inferior or anything...in fact, I love it. 1BADTTZ has a similar setup to you (though you have a bit more done) and that car is bad ass. It's just hard for me to sit here and read this when in our experience, most of this is the opposite of what we've seen. I'd be more than willing to eat my words if you want to take some video of boost runs and/or head to the track to see what your times are like. Or perhaps if ANY of the other Sport 600 owners would like to educate me on what I'm missing. I know full well that 1/4 mile times mean little to many people and that there are a bunch of variables that affect times but it's not a bad way to analyze power delivery. There's actually a little bit of science to comparing timeslips and while you might not get 100% accurate data, you can get a damn good idea of the way things are. I didn't think this was the case until the SoCal group put a few hundred timeslips together over the last few years and patterns do emerge :)
